Data Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTIONA global biopharmaceutical company is seeking strong Data Engineers with PySpark and ADF experience (junior, mid-level, and lead level) to join their team to support a portfolio of ongoing clinical operations projects. These individuals will work on a team of Data Engineers and Analysts of all levels and will partner with technical and functional partners to meet the project needs. The ideal candidates should and in-depth expertise with building data pipelines in the context of a cloud based Delta Lake platform such as Microsoft Fabric or Databricks (Azure experience strongly preferred). Experience with Power BI (semantic modeling, DAX, report building) is a major plus. Additionally, strong communication skills are a must along with the proven ability to work with cross functional teams and stakeholders to drive project work (to be considered for a Lead level role, candidates must also have working experience leading other team members and their work). These are immediate, ongoing needs that will go until the end of 2025 with the possibility of extensions into 2026. These positions are based in LATAM and candidates are able to sit remotely in either Brazil or Chile.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE- Strong hands-on coding ability in PySpark and Python- Experience with Azure Data Factory and / or Fabric pipelines- Professional working experience with Databricks, Fabric, or similar Spark platforms (Azure preferred)- Fair knowledge on the use of Azure Dev Ops (ADO) or other git platforms to manage repository and versions-Experience with data lake best practices including medallion architecture and metadata driven ingestion frameworks.- Strong communication skills and experience engaging directly with business stakeholders and technical teamsCompensation : $15 / HR - $25 / HR USD
