Financial Controller – Gold Mining Sector – Brazil

An international mining company developing a promising gold project in northern Brazil (Pará region) is seeking a Financial Controller to play a key role in managing the financial, accounting, and administrative functions of its Brazilian operations. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the activities of the external accounting firm , ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies;
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including financial planning, cost control, and variance analysis;
• Manage current and future contracts , ensuring alignment with company policies and efficient resource allocation;
• Maintain control of fixed assets , including registration, depreciation, and reconciliation;
• Supervise procurement, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes;
• Prepare and deliver financial and management reports to corporate headquarters, providing insightful analysis and recommendations;
• Strengthen internal controls and improve administrative and financial procedures;
• Lead and develop the local team , promoting best practices in governance and operational efficiency;
• Work remotely , with frequent visits to the project site in northern Brazil (Pará region) .
