Insight Global is seeking an AI / ML Engineer to support one of our large, medical research clients based in the US.

This role will be remote, EST hours.

• Job DescriptionWe are hiring two AI / LLM Engineers (1 Mid-Level, 1 Senior) to join a small, focused team building backend features for an existing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) service.

You'll work on extracting structured data from diverse content types—images, graphs, eBooks, journals, and more—using visual-based models.

This role involves experimentation, model development, and comparing LLMs for visual RAG use cases.

You'll deploy code to non-prod environments and support production rollout in collaboration with the DevOps team.

While primarily a heads-down, individual contributor role, clear communication and collaboration with the team is expected.Required Skills & Experience1+ years of experience as an AI / ML Engineer or Search Engineer2+ years of Python development experience, including API creation, model training, testing, and general backend programmingFamiliarity with LangChain for building LLM workflows using tools, memory, and retrievalFine tuning LLM or ML models Strong communication skills – able to work independently while providing clear updates to the teamNice to Have Skills & ExperienceSearch Technology Experience – OpenSearch, building scalable search systemFamiliarity with AWS infrastructure (IAM, VPC, S3, etc.)

Experience with OpenSearch
