Software Engineer

We're hiring aSenior Software Engineer (Big Data / Java) – Brazil (Remote).Join our international team supporting one of theworld's largest social media platforms.

Duration : 6 Months (Freelance)

Location : Brazil (Remote – must be based in Brazil)

Start Date : ASAP

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and enhance large-scale data processing systems in a distributed environment

Design and optimize pipelines and metadata models

Build and customize Spark internals and contribute to open-source community

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fully agile setup

Design Fine Grained Access Control systems for big data platforms

Maintain and improve platform performance and scalability

Requirements :

5+ years as a Software Engineer withstrong Java expertise (Kotlin is a plus)

3+ years building scalablebig data infrastructure / platforms

Solid experience withSpark, Hadoop, Parquet / ORC, or Flink

StrongOOPand system documentation skills

Results-oriented mindset and proactive communication

Fluency in English (Mandatory)

Nice to Have :

Knowledge ofAWS and Kubernetes.
