Back End Developer

Job Title : Backend Engineer – AI-Driven ApplicationsLocation : RemoteContract Type : Contract (estimated duration : 6 months)About the Role : Our client is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to support their AI-enabled application initiatives.

As part of a high-impact engineering team, you'll contribute to building and maintaining scalable backend systems that interface with large language models (LLMs).

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a remote, globally distributed environment.Key Responsibilities : Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.Interface with LLMs via LangChain and contribute to prompt engineering and fine-tuning tasks.Work with PostgreSQL to manage and optimize data storage and access.Support AI / ML initiatives with basic to intermediate Python coding.Design and implement microservices architectures in distributed environments.Ensure high code quality by writing comprehensive tests and leveraging CI / CD pipelines.Collaborate asynchronously with cross-functional teams across time zones.Leverage cloud platforms such as Google Cloud (preferred) or AWS for infrastructure and deployment.Required Qualifications : 5+ years of backend development experience, ideally in distributed microservices environments.Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.Practical experience with LangChain and prompt engineering for LLM integration.Solid understanding of PostgreSQL.Proficiency in Git, Docker, and working within CI / CD environments.Experience with at least one cloud provider (Google Cloud preferred; AWS acceptable).Familiarity with microservice architectures and backend testing strategies.Comfort working in asynchronous, distributed teams.Nice-to-Have Skills : Experience with Terraform and CircleCI.Exposure to PHP (not mandatory).Prior experience integrating third-party AI vendors.Background in media publishing or newsroom technologies is a plus.If you are a passionate backend engineer eager to apply your skills to modern AI-driven applications, we encourage you to apply and join a global team shaping the future of intelligent systems.
