Asenium is seeking a highly skilled

Senior Kotlin Backend Engineer

to join our client's global data engineering team.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop scalable backend components in

Kotlin

with a strong focus on performance and maintainability.Design and integrate

APIs, including OpenAPI and webhooks.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Product, UI, and Engineering.Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical best practices and guidelines.Troubleshoot, test, and debug backend systems, ensuring high reliability.Write and maintain clean, well-documented code and unit tests.Participate in architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Must-Have Skills :

5+ years of backend development experience,

with strong Kotlin proficiency .Experience designing and implementing scalable APIs.Advanced understanding of

and database fundamentals.Experience with

CI / CD pipelines, DevOps, and automation.Solid grasp of asynchronous programming (e.G., Kotlin Coroutines).Fluent English communication skills (written & spoken).

Nice to Have :

Hands-on experience with

AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) .Familiarity with data streaming tools such as

Kafka, Flink, or Spark-Streaming .
