Will manage in-house legal area and coordinate work with external law firms.
Job purpose
Will be responsible for providing strategic and day-to-day legal advice to SKF Brazil and all other SKF legal entities in LAM for the automotive business; specifically including the further development and operation of SKF's ethics and compliance program, acting as the compliance officer and data privacy officer, and supporting the organization to ensure that the SKF automotive business, its employees and its business partners comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
Job responsibilities
Lead day-to-day legal activities of SKF Automotive in Brazil and LAM
Manage legal issues in large and complex projects, including restructuring projects, M&A projects, litigation, and customer negotiations
Manage, lead and coach the legal team in accordance with the group's overall strategy and cultural transformation
Coordinate activities with external legal advisors
Develop, implement, manage, and improve common legal practices among Latin America countries and to help the relevant business owners in assessing and controlling legal risks
Develop, coordinate, and provide legal and compliance training to relevant SKF employees
Support the management in developing and maintaining SKF's ethics and compliance program
Support the organization in establishing and maintaining structures and processes, standards, and procedures to ensure that the compliance program is effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting non-compliance
Ensure that compliance risk assessments are made at relevant levels in the organization and support the relevant managers in establishing and executing risk mitigating activities
Establish a close cooperation with LAM automotive management team and with other relevant local and global functions within SKF automotive business, including internal audit

Education and Experience Requirements
Legal University Degree
8+ years of relative experience including :
Labor, Civil, Commercial, Taxes and Corporate law.
Experience in the automotive industry is an advantage
Deep knowledge of anti-bribery Brazilian law 12.846 / 2013, FCPA and UK Bribery, as well as antitrust, product liability and contract law
Mandatory be fluent in English and Spanish
Travel Requirements
Requires 20% to 40% travel
Travel is primarily international (mostly Latin America) with occasional domestic requirement
Requires car and airline travel
This position will be based in Brazil reporting to Markus Schwarz, Legal & Compliance Director Automotive & Legal Germany
